Cape Hatteras is known for fishing around the world. One of the top fishing locations on the east coast, you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle and some grit to fish here. The golden beaches are unforgiving but the rewards are tremendous.

The Larador and Gulf currents collide at the point making it one of the best fishing locations nation wide. The types of fish varies greatly depending on which current you fish. The most reknown fish here is the Reddrum. The world record and just about every other red drum record was caught here. If you want to try your luck for a large reddrum then look no farther.
