Cape May Fishing
Cape May Fishing is a little bit trickier than most places due to large amount of skates and dogfish, but with a little know how and you can land interesting fish here. They key to Cape May chunk fishing is to keep bait off the bottom. This can be accomplished by using high rigs. High rigs will be described in our rigs pages.
Favorite Location: Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach has nice fishing due to a lot of underwater structures and a fast moving current between the beach and the sunkin ship. Another great benefit of this spot is Sunset Grill just 50 yards away, so drinks and lunch is close by. Thos is Delaware Bay fishing near the inlet. We catch many many different species here including small stripers, weakfish, the occasional blue fish, sea robbins, the jetti is great for large perch if you use artificial blood worms reeled in very slowly. The best rig is a high low rig. This is a rare place where you go to fish for anything that bites, and high low rigs are the best for that.
